Hot chocolate sauce

Elevate vanilla ice-cream with decadent hot chocolate drizzle.
Ingredients:
  • 10.00 gm boiling water
  • 2 tsp instant coffee powder
  • 200g good-quality dark chocolate, broken into squares
  • 160ml (2/3 cup) thickened cream, at room temperature
  • 80g (1/3 cup) caster sugar
  • Vanilla ice-cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a heatproof bowl, mix boiling water with instant coffee. Add chocolate, cream, and sugar. Place the bowl over a saucepan with simmering water, ensuring it doesn't touch the water. Stir occasionally with a metal spoon until chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat.
  • Spoon ice cream into bowls and top with decadent hot chocolate sauce.
