Hot dogs with sauerkraut

Irresistible mini hot dogs for any party.
Ingredients:
  • 36.40 gm olive oil
  • 5 brown onions, halved, thinly sliced
  • 125.00 ml beer
  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • 16 pork chipolata sausages
  • 410g can sauerkraut, drained
  • 16 mini hot dog rolls, split, buttered
  • German mustard, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large heavy-based saucepan over medium heat, warm the oil. Add onions and coat in oil. Cover and cook for 10 minutes until softened. Remove lid, pour in beer, and stir to coat. Cook for 20-25 minutes until golden, stirring occasionally.
  • Begin by lightly coating a spacious frying pan with oil and heating it over medium heat. Proceed by adding the sausages and cooking them for 12 minutes, making sure to turn them frequently, until they are fully cooked.
  • Fill hot dog rolls with sauerkraut, onion, and sausages. Enjoy with mustard on the side.
