Sweet capsicum and onion relish for Kransky hot dogs.
Ingredients:
  • 18.20 gm extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 red onion, halved, thinly sliced
  • 1 red capsicum, thinly sliced
  • 45.00 gm brown sugar
  • 20.00 ml cider vinegar
  • 8 kransky sausages (see note)
  • 8 hot dog rolls
  • 171.60 gm tomato sauce
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over medium heat, sauté onion and capsicum in oil until softened, about 10 minutes. Stir in sugar and vinegar, then continue cooking until the liquid evaporates and onion caramelizes, about 5 to 6 minutes. Remove from heat and cool before using.
  • Preheat a chargrill pan over medium heat. Grill hot dogs, turning occasionally, for 6 to 8 minutes until hot.
  • 1. Make a slit along the top of each hot dog roll and spoon in tomato sauce. 2. Insert 1 hot dog into each roll and garnish with onion relish. 3. Serve and enjoy!
