Create delicious bacon grease for cooking while simultaneously enjoying crispy bacon.
Ingredients:
  • Strips of raw bacon
Instructions:
  • Cook the bacon over medium-low heat in a large skillet for 10-15 minutes, flipping occasionally, until crispy and browned. Transfer the cooked bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
  • Transfer the remaining pan fat to a jar and store it in the refrigerator. The bacon grease will solidify to a slightly off-color white, perfect for enhancing the flavor of future bacon dishes. You can strain out the solid bacon bits before storing the fat, or leave them in for extra flavor.
