Achieve crispy bacon perfection effortlessly by baking it in the oven for easy cleanup and no stovetop messes!
Ingredients:
  • 12 strips bacon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper (optional)
Instructions:
  • Prepare the bacon: Line a sheet pan with foil for easy cleanup or use an oven-safe baking rack for optimal crisping. Lay out bacon strips without overlapping on the rack. Optionally, sprinkle with black pepper for added flavor.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake the bacon for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway if not using a rack. Check for doneness around 18 minutes. The bacon should turn a dark tan color and will continue to crisp as it cools.
  • After baking, transfer the bacon to paper towels to drain and cool. Optionally, pour out the bacon grease from the pan and reserve it for future use, such as cooking eggs for a delicious flavor boost.
  • Store the bacon: Refrigerate for a few days or freeze individually to maintain freshness. Reheat in a skillet over low heat when ready to enjoy. If freezing a large batch, separate strips with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Share your feedback and rating below!
