Ice-cream cone cupcakes

Elevate your party with a unique twist on classic chocolate cupcakes!
Ingredients:
  • 1 packet chocolate cake mix
  • 24 small flat-based ice-cream cones
  • 500g butter, softened
  • 1kg icing sugar mixture
  • 84.98 gm milk
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • 65.00 gm cocoa powder, sifted
  • Hundreds and thousands, to decorate
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced, then prepare the chocolate cake mixture as directed on the packet.
  • Fill each muffin pan hole with a cone and pour batter two-thirds full into each cone. Bake for 15 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center of a cake comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pans.
  • With an electric mixer, whip butter until light and fluffy for about 5 minutes. Gradually add icing sugar and milk, mixing well after each addition. Place half of the frosting in a separate bowl. Mix vanilla into one bowl and cocoa into the other until fully combined.
  • Fill a large piping bag fitted with a 1.5cm fluted nozzle with vanilla frosting. Pipe frosting on top of each cupcake cone to look like soft serve ice cream. Repeat the process with chocolate frosting. Sprinkle hundreds and thousands on top for decoration. Serve and enjoy!
