Cheesy beef pie with biscuit crust, tomatoes, and Cheddar for a delicious and easy meal anytime.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1.5 cups chopped onion
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 0.75 cup baking mix (such as Bisquick ®)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and generously grease a deep-dish 9-inch pie dish.
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef and onion until cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain any excess grease. Transfer the mixture to the pie dish.
  • Combine milk, baking mix, eggs, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a blender and blend until smooth for about 15 seconds. Then, pour the mixture over the beef.
  • Bake until the biscuit topping is golden brown, approximately 25 minutes. Top with tomato slices and Cheddar cheese, then bake until the cheese is melted, for 5 to 8 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
