Quick, easy fry bread - perfect for Indian tacos or indulgent desserts.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.75 cup cold water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • oil for frying
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add cold water and vegetable oil, then stir until a dough forms a ball.
  • Place the dough on a floured surface and divide it into ten golf ball-sized pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, flatten into a round shape, and create a small hole in the center of each round.
  • Pour oil into a deep skillet, filling it to a depth of 3/4 inch, and heat over medium-high heat. Fry the dough rounds in batches until they are golden brown on each side, about 20 seconds per side. Drain the fried rounds on paper towels.
