Effortless Instant Pot baked ziti is a game-changer!
Ingredients:
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 8 ounces ziti pasta
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (20 ounce) jar prepared marinara sauce
  • 8 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 4 fresh basil leaves, chiffonade
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 0.5 cup shredded Provel cheese, divided
Instructions:
  • Preheat your Instant Pot® by selecting the Saute function. When it's hot, sauté the onion in oil until softened, around 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant, about 45 seconds. Add half of the ziti pasta and water.
  • Combine ricotta and marinara in a bowl. Layer half of the ricotta mixture over the ziti in the Instant Pot. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and Provel cheeses. Add the rest of the ziti pasta and finish with the remaining ricotta mixture.
  • Switch off Sauté mode, then seal and lock the lid. Choose high pressure as per the manufacturer's guidelines and set the timer for 10 minutes. Allow pressure to build for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Carefully quick-release pressure following manufacturer's instructions for about 5 minutes. Remove the lid, then sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Provel cheeses to let them melt. Serve when cheeses are gooey and top with fresh basil leaves for the finishing touch.
