Classic Italian sugar cookies passed down through generations, perfect for holiday indulgence.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease two baking sheets.
  • In a bowl, mix together the flour and baking powder.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and gradually mix in the flour mixture until well combined.
  • Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and shape into loops, pressing the ends to seal. Space 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until golden and firm at the edges. Cool on a wire rack after removing from the oven.
