Caprese-inspired meatloaf with Italian seasonings, served with buttered pasta and green salad.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 0.75 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Italian-style seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • Combine ground beef, eggs, bread crumbs, and ketchup in a large bowl. Add Italian-style seasoning, oregano, basil, garlic salt, diced tomatoes, and cheese. Press mixture into a 9x5 inch loaf pan and cover with foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
