Delicious Italian Swiss chard recipe, simple and flavorful. Perfect side dish for any meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 bunch Swiss chard
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 4 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
  • 0.125 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • Rinse Swiss chard thoroughly and slice into 1-inch strips, removing the thick stalks from the leafy greens.
  • In a large saucepan, bring 1 cup of water and 1 tablespoon of salt to a boil. Add the stalks and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in the leafy strips and cook until the stalks are fork-tender and the strips are wilted, about 6 minutes. Drain the vegetables.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes until fragrant, about 3 minutes. Stir in drained Swiss chard and cook for 2 minutes. Season with salt to your liking.
