Jam jar dressings

Create easy and versatile dressings in jam jars using a 3:1 ratio of oil to acid (vinegar or lemon). Adjust seasoning to taste for perfect balance.
Ingredients:
  • ¼ of a clove of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons white or red wine vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • cup natural yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Instructions:
  • For the French dressing, finely chop 1/4 clove of garlic. Combine the garlic, 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons of white or red wine vinegar, and 6 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a jam jar. Season with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper, then shake well. To make the yogurt dressing, combine 1/3 cup of natural yogurt, 2 tablespoons of white or red wine vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil in a jam jar. Add a pinch of sea salt and black pepper, then shake well. For the lemon dressing, squeeze the juice of 1 lemon into a jam jar with 6 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Season with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper, then shake well. To make the balsamic dressing, combine 6 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar in a jam jar. Add a pinch of sea salt and black pepper, then shake well.
