Create delicious jam tarts with just 4 ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 110g plain flour
  • 50g unsalted butter, chilled, cut into small pieces
  • 330.00 gm jam
  • Icing sugar, to dust
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 180°C. Combine flour and salt in a bowl. Rub in butter until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add 1 tablespoon of cold water and mix. Gradually add more water until smooth dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes. Roll out dough, cut out 6 circles with a pastry cutter, and use a small heart-shaped cutter for 6 hearts.
  • Prepare six 6cm fluted tart pans by greasing them. Line the pans with circles, then chill for 10 minutes. Line the pastry shells with baking paper and fill with rice or pastry weights. Bake for 10 minutes. After removing the paper and weights, fill the tarts with jam and add a pastry heart to each one. Bake for an additional 8 minutes. Let them cool down before dusting with icing sugar.
