Delicious Japanese-style stir-fried vegetables with prawns, or try with BBQ chicken for a tasty twist!
Ingredients:
  • 36.80 gm vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, halved, sliced lengthways
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 300g peeled green prawns, chopped
  • 21.00 gm soy sauce
  • 10.00 gm Mirin Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 carrot, peeled, finely shredded
  • 1/4 wombok (Chinese cabbage), finely shredded
  • 100g bean sprouts, trimmed
  • 1/4 small red cabbage, finely shredded
  • 3.00 gm black or toasted white sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a large wok over high heat. Stir-fry onion and garlic until softened, about 1 minute. Add prawns, soy sauce, mirin, and pepper. Stir-fry for 3 minutes until prawns are cooked. Transfer to a large bowl.
  • Heat the remaining oil in the wok until sizzling. Quickly stir-fry the carrot, wombok, and sprouts for 1 minute. Take off the heat and mix in the red cabbage and prawn mixture.
  • Transfer the dish to a beautiful serving platter and generously sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
