Easy and delicious kafta recipe, a beloved comfort dish with minimal ingredients and steps.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 pound ground beef
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.75 cup tahini
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon mixed spices
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, combine the beef with salt and pepper. Shape into 6 small finger shapes and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 7 minutes until golden brown.
  • In a bowl, mix water, tahini, lemon juice, mixed spices, salt, and pepper until the tahini is smooth and fluffy, whisking for about 5 minutes.
  • 1. Place the tahini mixture into a saucepan over low heat. Cook and stir until it simmers, about 3 minutes. Then add the meat fingers to the saucepan. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the meat is fully cooked and no longer pink inside, about 30 minutes. Ensure the meat reaches at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C) by using an instant-read thermometer.
