Delicious slow-cooked kalua pork: tender pork roast seasoned and cooked to perfection in the slow cooker.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (6 pound) pork butt roast
  • 1.5 tablespoons Hawaiian sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
Instructions:
  • Using a carving fork, puncture the pork all over and massage in salt and liquid smoke. Place the pork into a slow cooker.
  • Cover and slow cook on Low for 16 to 20 hours, remembering to turn the dish once halfway through for maximum flavor infusion.
  • Shred the pork using two forks in the slow cooker, adding drippings as necessary to keep it moist.
