Spicy chicken drumettes cooked with vegetables in a flavorful sauce, perfect with white rice.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 pounds chicken drumettes
  • 2 large potatoes, cut into large chunks
  • 2 carrots, cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 large onion, cut into 8 pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste)
Instructions:
  • Combine chicken, potatoes, carrots, onion, sugar, and garlic in a large pot over medium heat. Add water, soy sauce, sugar, and hot pepper paste. Mix well.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil then lower the heat and let it simmer for 45 minutes until the chicken juices run clear, the vegetables are tender, and the liquid thickens.
