Elevate Kraft mac and cheese with tuna casserole for the ultimate comfort dish.
Ingredients:
  • nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 (7.25 ounce) package macaroni and cheese dinner mix (such as Kraft®)
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (15 ounce) can sweet peas, drained
  • 1 (5 ounce) can chunk light tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1.3333333730698 cups French-fried onions
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  • In a saucepan, bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Add the macaroni from the box and cook for 7 minutes. Drain the macaroni, rinse under cold water, and set aside the cheese sauce packet.
  • In the same saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Then add milk and cheese sauce packet, stirring well. Next, mix in condensed soup and cook until heated through, approximately 3 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix together the drained macaroni, peas, and tuna. Gently fold in the creamy cheese soup mixture. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • After baking for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, add a generous sprinkle of Cheddar cheese followed by French-fried onions on top. Continue baking until the onions turn brown and the cheese is melted, approximately 5 more minutes.
