Savor a quick and satisfying lamb sausage rigatoni with tomato basil sauce in just 20 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 package (1 lb) rigatoni pasta
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 lb fresh lamb sausage
  • 1 jar (25.5 oz) Muir Glen™ organic tomato basil pasta sauce
  • 1/4 cup shaved Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup torn fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
  • Heat oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook sausage for 10 minutes, turning once, until golden brown and no longer pink (160°F). Transfer the sausage to a plate.
  • Heat the pasta sauce in the same skillet until it simmers, making sure to scrape the bottom to incorporate the flavorful brown bits from cooking the sausage.
  • Toss drained cooked pasta with 1/4 cup of pasta water. Cook for 1 minute, then transfer to a large serving platter. Top with sausage, cheese, and basil.
