Indulgent lava cake: warm, gooey chocolate center makes it the ultimate chocolate treat!
Ingredients:
  • 6.5 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup butter, cut into 8 pieces
  • 3 eggs, room temperature
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare four 6-ounce ramekins by greasing and flouring them.
  • Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler over simmering water, stirring often and scraping the sides with a rubber spatula to prevent burning, for approximately 5 minutes until completely melted.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat eggs and sugar until pale and thick, about 5 minutes. Add melted chocolate, flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt; mix until combined. Pour batter into prepared ramekins on a baking tray.
  • Bake in the oven until the edges are firm but the center is slightly wobbly, for about 10 to 13 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
