Nutritious whole-grain snacks packed with wheat, oats, flaxseed, chia seed, and flavorful herbs, perfect for on-the-go adventures.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup whole wheat flour
  • 0.25 cup steel cut oats
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 8 large dandelion blossoms, yellow petals only
  • 0.125 teaspoon dried lavender flowers
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 0.75 cup water, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare a baking sheet by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix together flour, oats, brown sugar, flax, chia seeds, and dandelion petals. Crush lavender flowers and add to the mixture. Stir in vanilla extract and water until dough is moist and holds together. Form 6 cookies and place on baking sheet.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for about 10 minutes until the cookies are dry and fragrant. Let them cool on the baking sheet before transferring.
