Decadent dual-chocolate mousse nestled between whipped topping on an Oreo cream cheese crust.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (14 ounce) package chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo®)
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup water, divided
  • 1 (4 ounce) bar semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 (4 ounce) bar milk chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 4 cups whipped topping, divided
Instructions:
  • Pulverize cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor.
  • In a large bowl, blend the cookie powder and cream cheese together by hand until a dough forms.
  • Spread the dough evenly into a 9x13-inch baking pan without greasing it.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, mix 1/4 cup water, semisweet chocolate, milk chocolate, and butter. Microwave in 15-second bursts, stirring each time, until melted (about 1 to 2 minutes). Set aside.
  • In a small saucepan over gentle heat, whisk together 1/4 cup water, egg yolks, and sugar. Cook for 2 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in the melted chocolate. Place the saucepan on a bowl filled with ice and stir until the mixture cools. Gently fold in 2 1/2 cups of whipped topping.
  • Evenly coat the cookie crust with the luscious chocolate mixture, then layer the remaining fluffy whipped topping over the velvety mousse before chilling in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
