Transform stubborn peanut butter remnants into a flavorful satay sauce with a few added ingredients and a simple shake.
Ingredients:
  • Peanut butter jar with ¼ cup or less of peanut butter left in it
  • 60ml (¼ cup) coconut cream
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 42.00 gm light soy sauce
  • 20.00 ml kecap Manis (sweet soy sauce)
  • 20.00 ml rice wine vinegar
  • 42.90 gm honey or grated palm sugar
  • 1/2 tsp sambal oelek or 1/2 fresh long red chilli, finely chopped
Instructions:
  • Put all the ingredients in the jar, seal it with the lid, and shake vigorously until well mixed. If the mixture is too thick to combine, heat it in the microwave on High for 30 seconds to soften it before shaking.
  • Drizzle the sauce over BBQ chicken skewers or use it as a delicious dip for pan-fried flatbreads, naan, or roti.
