Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 0.25 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons butter
Instructions:
  • Combine sugar, cornstarch, and lemon zest in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in water and lemon juice until mixture thickens and bubbles. Heat and stir for an additional two minutes.
  • Take the sauce off the heat and swirl in the butter, then serve while warm.
