Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice, to taste
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1/8 teaspoon dill
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 (8 ounce) cod fillets
  • 1 lemon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) for a perfectly heated baking environment.
  • Combine butter, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, thyme, paprika, dill, and salt in a small bowl to create a flavorful herb butter mixture.
  • Prepare the small baking dish by coating the bottom with a delicate herb butter, then layer the cod fillets on top. Enhance each fillet with a generous spoonful of herb butter and strategically arrange lemon slices around the cod.
  • Cook the cod in the preheated oven until it easily flakes with a fork, typically around 20 minutes.
