Lemon Pepper Chicken Drummies

Flavor-packed lemon pepper drumsticks, seared in a skillet and baked to crispy perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound chicken drummies
  • 0.25 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • all purpose seasoning to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, or as needed
  • 2 medium lemons, zested
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Pat dry the chicken drumsticks with paper towels, then place them in a bowl. Drizzle lemon juice over the drumsticks and sprinkle with all-purpose seasoning. Toss everything together until well coated.
  • Evenly douse drumsticks with zesty lemon juice, generously sprinkle with all-purpose seasoning, and toss vigorously until fully coated.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for a perfect bake.
  • In a sizzling cast iron skillet, sear the drumsticks in vegetable oil until golden and fully cooked, about 5 to 10 minutes. Transfer the juicy drumsticks to a waiting bowl.
  • Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir in lemon zest and black pepper until fully incorporated. Drizzle seasoned butter over chicken drumsticks and toss to coat evenly. Arrange drumsticks on a non-stick baking sheet.
  • Roast in the heated oven until the skin is crispy, approximately 5 minutes. Afterwards, take it out and garnish with extra lemon zest and freshly ground pepper to your liking.
