Zesty lemon sauce with a hint of spice for eight salmon cakes.
Ingredients:
  • 4 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter until sizzling. Add flour, stir to create a velvety paste, then pour in milk in a steady stream. Keep stirring as mixture thickens and bubbles. Simmer for 2 minutes until creamy and thickened.
  • Take the pan off the stove and mix in the zesty lemon juice, salt, and a pinch of spicy cayenne pepper.
