Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
Instructions:
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together butter and 1 cup sugar until creamy. Add egg, corn syrup, and lemon extract. Mix in flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Cover dough and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and lay out a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Shape the chilled dough into walnut-sized balls, coat them with sugar, and arrange them on the baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
