Buttery sesame lemon drizzle over crisp asparagus with parsley.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound asparagus spears, ends trimmed
  • 0.33333334326744 cup margarine or butter
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large pot with 1 inch of water, simmer asparagus until tender yet vibrant green, about 5 minutes (or longer for thick spears). Drain and transfer to a serving dish.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt margarine or butter. Add sesame seeds and toast until golden brown for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in lemon juice, parsley, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Drizzle the sauce generously over the cooked asparagus just before serving.
