Fluffy chocolate chip cookies, soft yet crunchy, ready in under 20 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup shortening
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour, or more as needed
  • 1 (11 ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, cream shortening and butter together with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Mix in brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and baking soda, then beat until well combined.
  • Gradually blend in flour with butter mixture until a thick dough forms, then gently fold in chocolate chips. Drop small spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
  • Bake until edges are lightly browned, 8 to 9 minutes in the preheated oven.
