Nutty whole grain cookies loaded with chocolate chips, ideal for lunchboxes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 0.5 cup 5-grain hot cereal mix
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheets with parchment paper for baking.
  • Combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat pastry flour, oats, 5-grain cereal, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Mix in eggs until well combined. Gradually add dry ingredients to form a dough. Gently stir in chocolate chips. Spoon heaping teaspoonfuls of batter onto baking sheets, leaving 2 inches of space between each cookie.
  • Bake in the oven until cookies are lightly browned, approximately 10 minutes.
