Instant Pot® maple brown sugar oatmeal is a customizable breakfast delight.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 2 cups water, divided
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 2 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • In your Instant Pot®, add 1 cup of water and place a steamer rack trivet at the bottom.
  • Combine the rest of the water with oats, milk, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt in a heat-safe bowl, then place it on the trivet.
  • Seal and secure the lid, then choose high pressure following the manufacturer's guidelines. Set the timer for 6 minutes and patiently wait for the pressure to build for 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Naturally release pressure for 10 minutes as per manufacturer's instructions. Then quick-release the remaining pressure for about 5 minutes. Finally, unlock and remove the lid.
  • After taking the bowl out of the pressure cooker, stir the oatmeal as it thickens when it cools.
