Transform frozen ham with brown sugar, maple syrup, and crushed pineapple in a pressure cooker for effortless gourmet perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (2 pound) frozen whole ham
  • 1 (16 ounce) can crushed pineapple
  • 0.25 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons water, or as needed
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions:
  • 1. Set ham on a trivet in a multi-functional pressure cooker like Instant Pot. Pour crushed pineapple over ham, sprinkle with brown sugar, and drizzle with maple syrup. Close and lock the lid, choose high pressure, and cook for 35 minutes following the manufacturer's instructions. Wait for pressure to build for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions to naturally release the pressure for 10 to 40 minutes. Check the temperature in the center with an instant-read thermometer - it should read 145°F (63°C) for fresh ham or 140°F (60°C) for pre-cooked ham.
  • Take out the ham and trivet. Slice the ham and arrange it beautifully on a serving plate.
  • First, choose the Sauté function on the pressure cooker. Combine water and cornstarch in a small bowl, then pour into the cooker and mix with the sauce. Bring everything to a boil, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens. Finally, pour the thickened sauce over the ham.
