Maple-glazed turkey roast - simple and perfect for a special family meal or intimate Thanksgiving feast.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (3 pound) boneless turkey breast roast, thawed
  • 0.5 cup pure maple syrup, or more as needed
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried crushed thyme
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) to create the perfect cooking environment.
  • Remove any plastic netting and wrap from the turkey roast, making sure to leave the string netting intact. Discard the gravy packet, if included, and rinse the turkey before patting it dry with paper towels.
  • Combine maple syrup, smoke flavoring, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and cayenne pepper in a bowl, stirring well. Brush the flavorful mixture over the turkey roast.
  • Place the roast, skin side up, on a baking rack in a roasting pan and cook in the preheated oven. Baste occasionally until golden brown and a meat thermometer reads 170°F (75°C) when inserted into the center, approximately for 1 1/2 hours. Allow the roast to rest for 10 minutes covered with foil before slicing without the string netting.
