Create a beautiful parfait by layering yogurt, fruit, and granola for a delicious and visually appealing treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and cubed
  • 1 medium pear, cored and cubed
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespons low-fat granola
  • 1 1/3 cups fat-free vanilla yogurt
Instructions:
  • In a small skillet over medium heat, toast the walnuts until golden, about 2-3 minutes. Remember to shake the pan gently to prevent burning. Transfer the walnuts to a plate to cool.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter then add apples, pears, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the fruit is soft, about 4-5 minutes. Stir in maple syrup and cook until slightly thickened, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a plate to cool.
  • Spoon the yogurt evenly into four parfait dishes. Add the apple-pear mixture and granola on top. Sprinkle with walnuts and a light drizzle of maple syrup. Serve and enjoy!
