Maple-glazed carrots - a sweet and simple side dish featuring the perfect pairing of carrots and maple flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 lb ready-to-eat baby-cut carrots
  • 1/4 cup real maple or maple-flavored syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet, bring the broth and salt to a boil over high heat. Stir in the carrots and reduce the heat to medium. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes until the carrots are crisp-tender. Drain, if needed.
  • Combine the syrup and butter with the carrots in a saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring constantly until the carrots are beautifully glazed. Finish by sprinkling with delicious pecans.
