Maple soy glaze for cedar plank grilled salmon - a sweet and salty family favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 1 untreated cedar plank
  • 2.5 pounds boneless salmon fillet
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon lime zest
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
  • 6 lemon wedges
Instructions:
  • Submerge the cedar plank in water for 2 hours to enhance its flavor infusion.
  • Preheat the outdoor grill to medium-high heat, oil the grate lightly, and set the cedar plank on the grate as it heats up.
  • Season salmon with salt and pepper before placing it skin-side down on the hot cedar plank. Close the grill lid and combine maple syrup, soy sauce, butter, lime juice, and lime zest in a bowl. Baste the salmon with the glaze and cook until it flakes easily with a fork, approximately 10 minutes. Serve the salmon garnished with fresh chives and lemon wedges.
