Create vibrant Easter egg sugar cookies, swirling hues in each bite. Ideal for Easter baskets or delightful gifts. Perfect for gatherings or as sweet treats for loved ones—a must-try!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • Flour, butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch for cutout cookies
  • Betty Crocker™ blue, pink, purple and yellow gel food colors
  • 2 tablespoons coarse white sparkling sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Combine cookie mix, flour, butter, and egg in a large bowl, stirring until a soft dough forms. Divide the dough into 4 pieces and transfer them into 4 small bowls. Tint each bowl blue, pink, purple, or yellow by stirring in the respective food color for each.
  • Drop tablespoons of each dough on a floured surface in a random pattern to form a large rectangle, ensuring dough pieces touch. Push dough towards the center on all sides to shape a 7x6-inch rectangle. Roll the dough to 1/4 inch thickness to create a marbled pattern. Use a 3-inch egg-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes, placing them 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Sprinkle with sugar. Press any remaining dough scraps together, reroll on floured surface, and make more cookies.
  • Bake for 7 to 9 minutes until edges turn lightly golden. Allow to cool for 2 minutes, then transfer from the cookie sheets to a cooling rack. Let them cool completely for about 15 minutes.
