Marinated Chicken Kabobs

Grilled chicken with sweet glaze, peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup light corn syrup
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic salt, or to taste
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
  • 2 onions, quartered
  • 1 (8 ounce) package fresh chopped mushrooms
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into large chunks
Instructions:
  • Combine vegetable oil, soy sauce, light corn syrup, lemon juice, sesame seeds, garlic powder, and garlic salt in a bowl. Mix in chicken until coated. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours to marinate.
  • Heat up your outdoor grill to medium heat and brush the grate lightly with oil.
  • Skewer the chicken, onions, mushrooms, and bell pepper. Then, pour the marinade into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Let it simmer until slightly thickened, around 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Grill skewers until chicken is cooked through and baste with marinade in the last 10 minutes.
