Savory steak-seasoned tofu, grilled or pan-fried for a quick and flavorful solo meal.
Ingredients:
  • 5 ounces extra-firm tofu
  • 1 tablespoon grill seasoning (such as Montreal Steak Seasoning®)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions:
  • Gently press tofu to release excess water. Coat tofu with grill seasoning, then place in a resealable plastic bag. Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Thaw tofu on the counter until soft. Slice in half lengthwise, drizzle with olive oil, and seal in the bag. Massage the bag to coat tofu with oil and seasoning. Rest for 15 minutes before cooking.
  • Preheat a griddle or outdoor grill to medium heat. Cook tofu steaks until crispy, about 3-5 minutes per side. Serve hot.
