Marshmallow trees

Kids will enjoy these adorable marshmallow Christmas trees, perfect for sharing with friends.
Ingredients:
  • 24 mega marshmallows (see note)
  • 63.75 gm desiccated coconut
  • 10 to 20 drops green food colouring
  • 285.00 gm white choc melts
Instructions:
  • Prepare a large, flat baking tray lined with baking paper. Skewer 3 marshmallows onto each paddle-pop stick with the pointed side facing up. Press the final marshmallow firmly to cover the top of the stick.
  • In a plastic bag, combine coconut and 10 drops of food coloring. Massage the bag to evenly distribute the color. Add more coloring if desired. Spread the colored coconut over a small plate.
  • Add chocolate melts to a heatproof, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on MEDIUM (50%) for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every minute using a metal spoon until it is melted and smooth, but not hot.
  • Brush marshmallows with chocolate using a pastry brush, ensuring not to make it too thick to prevent running. Roll them in coconut, sprinkling to coat. Gently place marshmallow trees on a prepared tray to set. Gift wrap or serve as desired.
