Festive sugar cookie bars topped with cute PEEPS® marshmallow trees.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles (confetti, nonpareils, candy sprinkles)
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Vanilla Frosting
  • 18 PEEPS® brand marshmallow trees
  • Additional holiday sprinkles and sparkling sugar, as desired
  • Powdered sugar, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 13x9-inch pan with foil and lightly spray the bottom with cooking spray.
  • Combine the cookie mix, softened butter, and egg in a large bowl until a soft dough forms. Mix in 2 tablespoons of holiday sprinkles, then press the dough into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 20 to 23 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool completely on a cooling rack for about 1 hour.
  • Peel off foil and frost the bars. Arrange 18 marshmallow trees in a 6 by 3 pattern on top. Sprinkle extra decorations on the edges. Cut into 18 bars, cleaning the knife between cuts.
  • Dust the tops of trees with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar "snow".
