Create a stunning PEEPS® Easter Garden Cake using Betty Crocker™ Devil's Food Cake Mix as the base. Decorate with PEEPS® marshmallow bunnies and chicks, cookie crumbs, and Betty Crocker™ Chocolate Frosting for a showstopping Easter treat. A fun and easy dessert to make with little helpers in just 20 minutes prep time.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • Water, oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting
  • 1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1 pouch (8 oz) Betty Crocker™ Green Decorating Icing
  • 8 to 12 PEEPS® marshmallow bunnies
  • 1 tube (4.25 oz) Betty Crocker™ Orange Decorating Icing
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (or 325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Grease the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. Prepare and bake the cake according to the package instructions for a 13x9-inch pan. Allow the cake to cool in the pan on a rack for about 30 minutes until completely cooled.
  • Frost the cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkle chocolate cookie crumbs on top. Using green icing and a grass piping tip, create garden rows to mimic the photo. Insert PEEPS® marshmallow bunnies into the cake, placing a toothpick halfway into the base of each bunny and placing them toothpick side down.
  • Create carrot shapes on the cake using orange and green icing following the reference photo. Cut the cake into 4 rows by 3 rows, remove toothpicks, and cover the cake loosely to store at room temperature.
