Creamy spiced sweet potato mash, perfect for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients:
  • 6 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces (about 3 lb)
  • 1 1/2 cups Greek Fat Free plain yogurt (from 3 containers, 6 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives
Instructions:
  • Place sweet potatoes in a 4-quart saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 12 minutes until tender.
  • After draining, place the potatoes back into the pan. Mix in 1 cup of Greek yogurt, butter, 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, salt, and the rest of the spices. Mash with a potato masher until smooth.
  • Combine the remaining 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar in a small bowl until smooth.
  • Top warm potatoes with sweetened yogurt and fresh chives before serving.
