Elevate classic white chocolate chip cookies with a pop of vibrant green from matcha green tea powder.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon green tea powder (matcha)
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1.5 cups white chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and get your baking sheets all prepped with a light greasing or lined with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, sift together flour, matcha, baking soda, and salt. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat brown sugar, butter, and white sugar until blended; add vanilla extract, egg, and egg yolk, and beat until light and creamy.
  • Combine the flour mixture with the creamed butter mixture until just blended, then gently stir in the chocolate chips using a wooden spoon. Using a heaping tablespoon of dough per cookie, place them on the baking sheet spaced 2 to 3 inches apart.
  • Bake in the oven until edges are lightly browned, about 8 to 10 minutes. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 to 3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
