Melt 'n' mix chocolate cake

Whisk together melted chocolate for effortless chocolate cake perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 300.00 gm self-raising flour
  • 65.00 gm cocoa powder
  • 180.00 gm brown sugar
  • 257.50 gm milk
  • 8.80 gm vanilla essence
  • 125g butter, melted and cooled
  • 126.25 gm cream
  • 200g Brand dark cooking chocolate, roughly chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 170C (150C fan). Grease a 20cm square tin and line the base with non-stick baking paper. In a large mixing bowl, sift flour, cocoa powder, and sugar, then create a well in the center.
  • Combine milk, eggs, and vanilla in a jug, then mix into dry ingredients with butter. Gently fold until just combined. Pour into tin and bake for 50-55 mins until a skewer comes out clean. Cool in tin for 10 mins before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • For the topping, heat cream in a small saucepan until it boils. Remove from heat, add chocolate, and let sit for 5 minutes until very soft. Stir until smooth. Chill in the refrigerator for around 20 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally. Spread the mixture over the top and sides of the cake.
