Indulge in a delicious triple berry cobbler for a cozy treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons hot water
  • Whipped cream, if desired
Instructions:
  • - Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a 2-quart casserole dish. In a 4-quart Dutch oven, combine granulated sugar and cornstarch. Add berries and lemon juice, toss until coated evenly. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 to 5 minutes (7 to 10 minutes for frozen berries), stirring constantly until slightly thickened. Transfer mixture to the casserole dish.
  • Combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg in a large bowl. Use a pastry blender or 2 knives to cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add hot water gradually until a soft dough forms. Spoon tablespoonfuls of dough onto the berry mixture.
  • Bake the cobbler until the topping turns golden brown, typically within 25 to 30 minutes. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream.
