Spicy green chile chicken casserole with creamy sauce and cheese. Customizable spice level and can be made with low-fat ingredients. Family favorite dish!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chile peppers, drained
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 0.66666668653488 cup sour cream
  • 8 (6 inch) flour tortillas
  • 6 boneless chicken breast halves, cooked and cubed
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix together the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, chile peppers, milk, and sour cream in a medium bowl until thoroughly combined. Spread a layer of tortilla strips in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Create delicious layers by starting with half of the flavorful soup mixture, followed by half of the tender chicken, and then half of the luscious shredded cheese. Repeat this process until all ingredients are used up, finishing with a delectable topping of shredded cheese.
  • After preheating the oven, bake for 45 minutes covered. Uncover and bake for an extra 15 minutes.
