Enjoy a variety of flavors with these delightful mini pies. Made with tart Granny Smith apples in adorable mini pie dishes. Get yours online for some fun baking!
Ingredients:
  • lemon juice
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 pastries for 9-inch single crust pies
  • 3 cups diced Granny Smith apple
  • 2 tablespoons instant tapioca
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) for perfect cooking temperature.
  • Cut 4 rounds from the pie crusts and place them into 4 mini pie dishes. Then, cut the remaining pie crust into 1/8-inch strips and set aside.
  • Combine diced apple, tapioca, sugar, lemon juice, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a bowl. Let stand for 5 minutes to soften tapioca. Spoon mixture into pie shells. Top each pie with a lattice crust using dough strips, then pinch onto the bottom crust.
  • Bake until the pies are golden brown and the filling is bubbly and thickened, approximately 30 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.
